When screaming silently inside, modern day mix-tapes gave voice to the battle cry needed to make it through the highs and the lows of gruesome cancer treatment. Music brought our family together when rocking out together in the car and as we walked up to the plate hitting home runs. Now I'm dreaming of the day to personally connect with these artists to let them know how they saved me. How they saved my family. And how they gave our boys a mom by their side for the road ahead.
Are you connected to music artists that played are part of our playlist? The biggest dream of all is to share the stage, sing out. And even collaborate on an original song. Even just say thanks in real life.
"There is a way out of this cage that you're in"
"Say what you want to say and let the words fall out. Honestly, I want to see you be brave. I just want to see you."
"Earl's gonna die."
"I think we caught it in time."
"You and I will be together in whatever time we have. We know life can be a battlefield. You will be my fortress and I will be your shield. No one really wants to be alone."
"Up, up, up -- we're only going. up from here. Up where the clouds disappear."
"Someday we'll all be gone, but lullabies go on and on. They never die, that's how you and I will be."
"Bag lady, you gonna hurt your back -- dragging all your bags like that."
"It's gonna take a long time, its gonna take it but we'll make it one day."
"Go dancing underneath the stars. Oo yeah, I want it all."
"When they say the party's over, then we bring it right back."
"Don't ever say it's over if I'm breathing, racing to the moonlight and I'm speeding. I'm ready to the stars. Ready to go far, I'm star walkin."
