After years of having her symptoms dismissed, she founded BE SEEN with a clear mission: to eradicate death from colorectal cancer through awareness, access, and prevention, especially for those diagnosed young. Marisa has been featured in The New York Times, Today, US News and World Report, and appeared on NBC, ABC, FOX, and The Kelly Clarkson Show. A former Broadway vocalist, she continues to perform and advocate at major sporting and awareness events nationwide and serves as an ambassador for UCLA Health.
Josh Peters is an award winning film producer dedicated to elevating bold voices that shape culture and change outcomes. He is a founder of Spark Features, whose films have premiered at Sundance, TIFF, SXSW, and Cannes, earning major awards including an Independent Spirit Award, a Peabody, and multiple Oscar nominations. His work includes DÌDI (弟弟), THE LIGHTHOUSE, and PORCELAIN WAR.
